Patients using Flinders Fertility have the best chance of having a baby through IVF in South Australia, according to Australia’s only independent source of IVF clinic success rates.

Latest data from the YourIVFSuccess website, released on 11 December, shows Flinders Fertility as the top-performing SA clinic, leading in 10 of 13 key success measures.

Highlights include:

  • Women aged under 35 undergoing their first IVF cycle at Flinders Fertility have a 66% chance of having a baby*— the highest in the state and well above the national average.
  • Overall, women under 35 have a 54% chance of having a baby from IVF treatment at Flinders Fertility** also exceeding local and national results.
  • For patients aged 35 to 42, Flinders Fertility’s success rate is 30%, again the highest in South Australia.

Flinders Fertility not only consistently outperformed other local clinics but exceeded national averages in all age groups, including for embryos transferred and births per treatment attempt – demonstrating the strength across clinical practice and laboratory performance.

Medical Director Prof. Neil Johnson says the state-leading results reflect years of determined deliberate effort to strengthen how it supports patients.

“It’s years of investing in evidence-based care, staff development, and services that support the whole person,” he said. “Expanding our specialist team and bringing gynaecology surgery in-house means we can diagnose and treat patients sooner — and that translates into better fertility outcomes.”

CEO Lee Battye says the results demonstrate the impact of a long-term vision.

“We’re incredibly proud to be recognised as South Australia’s top-performing IVF clinic,” she said. “Every patient deserves the best possible chance of creating a family. These results show what’s possible when you combine innovation, inclusivity, and exceptional care, and they’re consistent with the outcomes new patients can expect today.””

Flinders Fertility has quietly been transforming how it supports patients — recruiting new doctors and nurses, strengthening clinical protocols, and continually enhancing its laboratory systems and scientific processes.

In the past year, the clinic has further strengthened its specialist team expanding clinical expertise and enabling more comprehensive care. This includes the introduction of specialist gynaecology surgery services giving patients faster access to diagnosis and treatment for conditions such as endometriosis and fibroids. By treating underlying issues earlier, many patients can move into fertility treatment sooner, helping shorten their time to pregnancy.

The clinic has also introduced a metabolic health program designed to support weight loss and improve overall wellbeing, helping patients enter treatment healthier, better prepared, and more confident.

Flinders Fertility remains home to South Australia’s largest donor sperm program, supporting single parents, LGBTQ+ families, and anyone needing donor pathways.
